The Health Care Council of Illinois Political Action Committee (HCCI PAC) works alongside Illinois lawmakers to advocate for public policy issues impacting nursing home residents and staff. We work diligently to ensure that the well-being of our elderly is prioritized in all legislative decisions effecting the places they call home.

Patrick grew up in Reddick and has lived in Essex for 24 years with his wife, Rita. His top goals include making the health care system easier to navigate and more supportive for individuals and families suffering from serious illness.
 
Senator Joyce sits on the Public Health Committee and this summer, his office led an effort to collect handwritten messages and cards for residents of long-term care facilities to send encouragement in hopes of overpowering the fear of the pandemic. Senate District 45

David moved to Peoria in 1978 and was elected to the Illinois Senate in 2006 before being promoted to Majority Caucus Whip in 2019 and Assistant Majority Leader in 2019. Prior to his time in office, David worked as the President for Labor Management Cooperative Health Programs, Inc, an organization dedicated to improving the value of health care for its members and the community.

Tom is a former small business owner, 5th grade teacher and radio news broadcaster. He was elected in 2011, and sits on multiple committees ranging from the Local Retirement Systems Subcommittee to the Pension Reform Subcommittee and the Property Tax Relief Task Force.

Diane emigrated to the United States when she was 11 years old, and grew up in Addison and Roselle. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Yale Law School, followed by a long and impressive legal career serving mostly as in-house corporate counsel for area companies. She served five years as President of the Friends of Itasca Community Library before being elected to the Illinois House of Representatives in 2019.

Steve is a former award-winning TV news anchor and was elected to represent the Rockford-based 34th district in 2012. In 2018, he was named Legislator of the Year for his work on the statewide expansion of the Rivers Edge tax credit for redevelopment of historic property.
